CHICAGO, June 17, 2021― For over a decade, Crain’s Fast 50 feature has highlighted companies headquartered in Chicago that have achieved impressive revenue gains in a variety of industries from technology to healthcare. As leaders in their respective areas, each company was ranked by percentage of revenue growth from 2015 through 2020. For three years, AGB Investigative Services, the largest Black-owned end-to-end physical and cyber security company, has made the list. Despite the economic downturn due to the COVID pandemic, their 5-year growth grew by 463.8%, landing them at number 24.
“It is a true honor to be recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in Chicago,” said John Griffin, Jr., CEO of AGB. “I had a vision for creating a physical and cyber security service company to transform the lives of underrepresented communities located on the Southside of Chicago. This recognition is a testament to the work we collectively do day in and out, which is to protect people, property and data. Our growth allows us to continue to provide opportunity and access through our mission represented in our name―always give back.”
The top five companies on the list included Coinflip, a cryptocurrency ATM operator; Green Thumb Industries, a manufacturer and distributor of cannabis products; RHM Staffing Solutions, a manufacturing Staffing services firm; Inspire 11, a digital and analytics consulting firm; and Shipbob, a Cloud-based logistics platform specializing in fulfillment services.
The Crain’s Fast 50 recognition comes on the heels of AGB Investigative Services expanding their foothold on the cyber security landscape. In May of 2021, AGB celebrated the grand opening of their Cyber Security Operations Center which offers end-to-end cyber solutions including IT security assessments, vulnerability testing, penetration testing, social engineering services and training, and a special focus on securing employees working from home. With minorities massively under-represented in technology, AGB is making strides to bridge the digital divide through industry specific training and employment opportunities.
