John Griffin, Jr., President/CEO

The company was founded by John Griffin, Jr., who is a full-spectrum security and computer expert. He receives on-going advanced training from the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. He works with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and is certified as a Forensics Expert Witness.

Mr. Griffin’s expertise allows him to be able to provide proactive and reactive investigative and logistical support, investigative assistance, expertise, and technical resources. Mr. Griffin can assist with local law enforcement by initiating and/or conducting investigations of specialized offenses such as misconduct, public integrity, election fraud, child support, domestic violence, and complex financial crimes.

  • Recipient of advanced training from Department of Defense and

  • Has worked with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies

  • Led AGB for more than a decade
  • Experienced criminal investigator and expert witness before the grand jury
  • Chosen to launch a county-wide computer forensics laboratory to serve all municipalities in Cook County.
  • Specialized training to conduct internal affairs investigations
  • Solely responsible for developing and implementing all SOP’s and protocol for a new computer forensics lab for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
  • Lead trainer of all new investigators and State’s Attorneys in data recovery, evidence preservation, and investigative techniques. Train suburban municipalities in computer forensics methodology.
  • Recipient of the 2009 U.S. Secret Service Computer Forensics Award for expeditious handling of a large volume of computer examinations and responsiveness to agencies’ needs; chosen out of 250 examiners nationwide

John Griffin, Jr. is an expert in the security and risk mitigation field. He has been involved in high-level security prevention and investigations for more than 10 years and has extensive local and national experience. John is an expert investigator who was selected to attend training at the Chicago Police Department’s Detectives Academy to work on post conviction cases.

John Griffin, Jr. has led AGB since its inception in 2001.


Farrad Ali, Chief Information Security Officer

As the chief information officer for AGB, Farrad Ali leads the Global IT Services Division. In his role, Ali manages the technology strategy and implementation of mission-critical applications for AGB. Ali brings lean Six-Sigma and other efficiency measures to AGB to ensure optimum efficiency, performance and productivity from AGB employees. Ali has over 20 years in the IT profession and he was formerly the president of an IT consulting firm and Internet Service Provider in Chicago. Ali received an undergraduate degree in computer science from Chicago State University. He also holds graduate degrees in computer science from Governors State University and business administration from Purdue University.

Fred Williams, Vice-President of Marketing

Fred Williams joined AGB Investigative Services in 2009 as the corporation’s first Chief Marketing Officer, focusing on refining the company’s brand and product strategies, data analytics and client segmentation. He has 18+ years of management, marketing, sales, product development and strategy experience. Prior to AGB, Williams spent more than seven (7) years at The Cook County Recorder of Deeds Office, climbing the ladder in management. When he left Cook County government he was the Director of the Microfilm Archive Division, managing over 40 people and an annual budget of $5 million. He holds BA in Political Science from DePaul University, and a MBA in Business Administration from Purdue University.
