John Griffin, Jr. is an expert in the security and risk mitigation field. He has been involved in high level security prevention and investigations for more than 10 years and has extensive local and national experience.
Locally, John has been a Cook County State’s Attorney’s Investigator for more than 12 years. Nationally, he is a Deputized United States Marshall, and has worked with the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force for most of this decade. John is also a licensed private investigator.
John Griffin, Jr. is a security and computer forensics expert who not only leads successful investigations and preventive activities – but has also been on the “front lines” of cases and client engagements. He understands the details of investigation and risk management for cases and clients intimately.
John is an elite investigator selected by the State’s Attorney’s Office to attend training at the Chicago Police Department’s Detectives Academy to work on post conviction cases. He is also an outstanding computer forensic investigator who has received advanced training from the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.
John has testified both in federal and state court as an expert witness as the lead examiner on computer forensic cases. John represents the Cook County State’s Attorney’s as the lead trainer of all investigators for the State’s Attorney’s Office’s data recovery and all other computer forensics activities.
John has completed hundreds of exams for the U.S. Secret Service as a member of their Task Force. He has a Masters of Public Administration from Roosevelt Univ. and a B.S. in Commerce from DePaul Univ.
